Research Projects

People’s Views

Throughout the entire research project duration, we keep conducting in-depth interviews with stakeholders of Luxembourg’s food system, from the spheres of production, transformation & retail, consumption as well as governance. These interviews, set up in a grounded theory approach, serve as knowledge basis for the other work packages, and equally as a central and autonomous part of the research project. They permit to gain rooted and contextualised multi-faceted knowledge on interrelationships, pressure points, gaps and opportunities within the foodscape. Learning about actors’ innovations, good (or not so good) practices is helpful to elaborate pathways for potential optimisation of different leverage points within the system.

Such an in-depth understanding of barriers, gaps, challenges, good practices and inspirational multiplier effects can only be gained from comprehensive interviewing of Luxembourg’s food system’s stakeholders in all domains.
