H2020 Call Food 2030: Empowering Cities as agents of food system transformation

December 2019

Dr. Rachel Reckinger was asked by Gaëlle Tavernier (PRO-SUD; consultant to the City of Differdange, to develop the food strategy in relation to Lommelshaff), to participate in the European project “Food 2030: Empowering Cities“.

Under the lead of CARTIF, the city of Differdange is one of the 10 European cities associated with the FUSILLI project (Fostering the Urban food System transformation through Innovative Living Labs Implementation). The project jointly proposes a food hub (a cooperative platform between small producers to market and sell their combined products) and a Food Policy Council at the level of the urban policy of the city of Differdange. This project has clear and fruitful links to the Food Policy Council that Rachel Reckinger is co-founding at the national level.

Rachel Reckinger participated in a first meeting in December 2019 and took part in writing the Luxembourg part of the project, which will officially launch in January 2021.
