TRANsitions de Systèmes Agri-Alimentaires Territorialisés (TRANSAAT)
TRANSAAT (TRANsitions de Systèmes Agri Alimentaires Territorialisés) is an interregional research project of the Greater Region, involving researchers from different scientific disciplines and actors from various domains of the food system.
Having started in 2022, its general aim is to build strategies for transitioning regional agri-food systems towards relocalisation, shorter food supply circuits, and make agriculture and food a subject of scientific cooperation between the regions.
More specifically, it is organised around three consecutive aims. First, developing a typology of agri-food and agroecological transitions; second, co-build methods for the (proto)metabolic analysis of agri-food flows; and third, setting up interlocal cooperation and convergence of food, environmental and territorial strategies, particularly in the different Food Policy Councils of the study territory.
TRANSAAT is part of the TETRAE (Transition en Territoire de l’Agriculture, l’Alimentation et l’Environnement) programme.
